The „Dragišnica and Komarnica“ Nature Park is located in a mountainous region with diverse terrain, including mountains, ridges, canyon valleys, and gorges. This area is distinguished by exceptional natural wealth – a variety of habitats, forests, and flora adapted to high-altitude conditions, including numerous rare, endemic, and relict species. The combination of diverse orographic and microclimatic factors, along with a long evolutionary history, makes the Dragišnica and Komarnica area unique within the Durmitor massif. The park is also rich in fauna, providing a home to many species of mammals and birds. Additionally, a wide variety of fungi contributes to the ecological value of this natural reserve.

Enhanced visitor experience at “Dragišnica and Komarnica” Nature Park

According to the Analitika portal, the park has recently completed renovations of visitor facilities that were damaged during last year’s severe October storm. New wooden bridges, benches, tables, and trash bins have been installed, enhancing both visitor safety and comfort while further preserving the park’s natural beauty.
